Cooperstown...Hall of Fame and Hall of Pain!



Hall of Fame:

What a beautiful area around Cooperstown! We went to a apple cider mill, walked the quaint downtown streets, hiked in Glimmerglass State Park, caught a pickup game at Doubleday Field and, of course, went to the Baseball Hall of Fame.

What's not to like... history, memorabilia, photos and video clips from the greatest moments in our national pastime. Here's a picture of Donna checking out the current inductees:



At this point I'm pretty sure she had more fun at the Cooperstown hospital emergency room..... which brings me to the...

Hall of Pain:

At midnight on the night we arrived in town, I began to have severe stomach pain. After two hours we realized it was time to seek out the closest emergency room. I spent all night and most of the next day with multiple tubes and needles stuck into me while they ruled out a heart attack. The next morning the tests showed it was my gallbladder giving me trouble. Luckily I didn't have to have surgery, but need to watch my diet (Donna is thrilled). Oh well, on to Maine.....mmmmmmm, lobster.
