4 days into our trip, on June 10th, we titled our blog "Eastward Ho!" That day we visited the Heceta Head Lighthouse on the Pacific and then turned east for the first time to Portland Oregon. Now 109 days and some 7000 driving miles later we paid a visit to the Portland Head Lighthouse here in Portland Maine, stuck a toe in the Atlantic and now will turn south. Gulf of Mexico, here we come.

I see you are on the Mass Turnpike today. It gets busy going south. Enjoy the views. The fall color should be really pretty. Go hot air ballooning ! It's worth the ride.
